The main approach for both the design and the planting is to create a garden with native plants and materials. Inquiries of functional and aesthetic aspects of the project led us to the careful indication of the planting areas, sitting areas, and so on.The proposed trees and shrubs are creating focal points,protecting privacy and providing orientation within the landscape. Situed in the southern side of the plot, a stair constructed by metal and wood and planted with birch trees and shade-loving plants leads from the backyard to the basement of the house. Mixtures of perennials, low shrubs and grasses add color, textures and seasonal interest in the garden.
