The main approach for both the design and the planting is to integrate the garden into the natural scenery in a sustainable way. The microclimatic and topographic conditions were taken into consideration, and a wide variety of mostly native plants and materials were our design tools, aiming to bring ecological equilibrium to the landscape and enhance the existing vegetation. The proposed trees and shrubs are able to tolerate the characteristic heavy north winds of the area, creating focal points and providing orientation within the landscape. The main focal point of the garden, located in the south corner of the estate, is a shaded sitting lounge area overlooking the pond. The area is surrounded by aromatic and flowering perennials, while riparian vegetation is established around the pond.
