The main approach was to immerse the garden into the surrounding landscape. The microclimatic and topographic conditions were taken into consideration, and a wide variety of mostly native plants and materials served as elemental design tools, aiming to bring ecological equilibrium to the landscape. The proposed plant palette is comprised by species tolerant to the characteristic heavy north winds of the island. One of the most beautiful aspects of the garden is the incorporation of unique rock formations, forming vivid land-art interventions.
